Events & Networking Tools

COST Actions use a number of different networking tools in order to achieve the Action’s objectives. In our Action we will meet, have workshops, run training schools, and offer short term scientific missions, amongst other activities in order to achieve our goals.

Actions are divided into grant periods within which the networking tools occur.

Our first grant period ran from October 2016 until 30th April 2017, the second from the 1st May 2017 and until the 30th April 2018, and the third from 1st May until 30th April 2019.

In the ‘Archive and Resources’ section of this website you can find outputs from these grant periods and accounts of our activities.

We are now in Grant Period 4 which began on 1st May 2019 and will finish on 30th April 2020.

Fourth grant period events

Meetings

In July 2019 we will collaborate with the European Association for the Teaching of Academic Writing (EATAW) on their Conference which will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden.  Further information about the conference is available here.

We will also hold two meetings this grant period.  The first of these will be in October 2019 and will be hosted by the University of Nicosia and the second will be in February 2020 in Bratislava, but hosted by our colleagues from University of Presov.

Training Schools

In Grant Period 4 we will offer two training schools.  The first of these will be in September, from 16th– 20th, in Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, in Croatia.  Information about that training school is available here.  The second training school will take place from 16th – 20th March 2020 in Serbia and will be hosted by our colleagues in University of NisInformation about that training school will be posted on the website later in the year.

Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM)

As in previous years we will offer Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM) this grant period.

Details of the STSM call will be published in September 2019 and will be posted on this website.

Applicants should note that the most useful approach for us is that the STSM directly contributes to the achievement of the Actions objectives, as noted in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Naturally, STSM candidates can also come forward with their own research needs and ideas where they align with our Action.

The recipients of these awards have captured the STSM experience in their reflections here.

If you have any queries about STSMs please email the coordinator Catherine Kanellopoulou, at catherine.kanellopoulou@gmail.com
