COST Actions use a number of different networking tools in order to achieve the Action’s objectives. In our Action we will meet, have workshops, run training schools, and offer short term scientific missions, amongst other activities in order to achieve our goals.
Actions are divided into grant periods within which the networking tools occur.
Our first grant period ran from October 2016 until 30th April 2017, the second from the 1st May 2017 and until the 30th April 2018, and the third from 1st May until 30th April 2019.
In the ‘Archive and Resources’ section of this website you can find outputs from these grant periods and accounts of our activities.
We are now in Grant Period 4 which began on 1st May 2019 and will finish on 30th April 2020.
Fourth grant period events
In July 2019 we collaborated with the European Association for the Teaching of Academic Writing (EATAW) on their Conference which was held in Gothenburg, Sweden. Further information about the conference is available here.
We will also hold two meetings this grant period. The first of these was in October 2019 and was hosted by the University of Nicosia:
The second meeting will be in February 2020 in Bratislava, but hosted by our colleagues from University of Presov.
In Grant Period 4 we will offer two training schools. The first of these was in September, from 16th– 20th, in Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, in Croatia. A report about that training school is available here. The second training school will take place from 16th – 20th March 2020 in Serbia and will be hosted by our colleagues in University of Nis. Information about that training school will be posted on the website in December 2019.
Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM)
As in previous years we have offered Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM) this grant period, however, our current budget for STSMs is now either spent or committed. Should additional STSM funding become available we will advertise that here on our website.
Previous STSM recipients have captured the STSM experience in their reflections and reports here.
