Events and Networking Tools
COST Actions use a number of different networking tools in order to achieve the Action’s objectives. In our Action we will meet, have workshops, run training schools, and offer short term scientific missions, amongst other activities in order to achieve our goals.
Actions are divided into grant periods within which the networking tools occur.
Our first grant period ran from October 2016 until 30th April 2017, and the second grant period ran from the 1st May 2017 and until the 30th April 2018.
In the ‘Archive and Resources’ section of this website you can find outputs from these grant periods and accounts of our activities.
The third grant period began on 1st May 2018 and will finish on 30th April 2019.
Third grant period events
We had two meetings in Grant Period 3:
University of Pécs, Pécs, Hungary, 4th – 5th October 2018 – report available here.
As in Grant Period 2, in Grant Period 3 we are offering development opportunities through training schools. In this grant period we will offer three training schools.
The second training school will be Goethe-Universität Frankfurt from 28th January – 1st February 2019. A report based on feedback on this event will be posted on this page shortly.
The third training school will take place in Saints Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, Macedonia from 18th – 22nd March 2019.
Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM)
As in Grant Period 2, in Grant Period 3 we will offer Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM).
Details of the call are accessible here.
Applicants should note that the most useful approach for us is that the STSM directly contributes to the achievement of the Actions objectives, as noted in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Naturally, STSM candidates can also come forward with their own research needs and ideas where they align with our Action.
The recipients of these awards have captured the STSM experience in their reflections here.
If you have any queries about STSMs please email the coordinator whose details are included in the call.
